Navigating Entrepreneurship Event Recap
On Wednesday the 5th of February, Race Forward CIC proudly hosted an Entrepreneurs Networking Event at Barclays branch in Moorgate, gathering over 80 young professionals eager to share and learn.
Attendees had the opportunity to hear from an exceptional panel of speakers who provided valuable insights on managing demanding careers while cultivating their businesses.
Our diverse panel featured inspiring individuals: Nikki Ogun, a Senior Lawyer at a prestigious law firm; Emmanuel Ojo, the founder of the successful venture Soft Life Ski; popular Content Creator Ose Okp (Papz); and Shola West, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree.
Each panelist hailed from different industries, ranging from law and digital content creation to the creative arts, yet their experiences illustrated similar challenges. It was enlightening to hear how they each confront setbacks, navigate imposter syndrome, and overcome industry barriers in unique ways.
A profound takeaway from the discussions was the importance of community. Regardless of where you are in your career journey, having a robust support network can significantly impact your success.
Our panelists reiterated that achievement is not solely about personal gains; it’s about uplifting others as you progress. Their emphasis on mentorship, collaboration, and supporting those who follow in your footsteps resonates deeply with our mission at Race Forward CIC. This event served as a powerful reminder that entrepreneurship transcends mere business—it is fundamentally about resilience, adaptability, and the shared exchange of knowledge.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in making this event successful, and a special thank you to Barclays Eagle Labs for their partnership in this initiative. Together, we can continue to forge strong connections and nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Let’s keep lifting each other as we chart our paths forward!
